Reports have come in that a woman had been stabbed during an attempted mugging in Drumcondra, Dublin 3, yesterday evening.
The incident happened around 6:15pm, when the 36-year-old woman was approached by another woman in the vicinity. The other woman demanded her handbag and then proceeded to stab her in the neck as they both struggled for the bag.
The victim was then taken to the Mater Hospital for treatment, where her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
