A Woman Was Allegedly Kidnapped While Driving In Dublin This Morning

Dublin Gardai have launched an investigation into an alleged kidnapping and car-jacking incident in the city this morning.

The incident is believed to have taken place at 2am this morning, with the distressed woman telling gardai that she was stopped at traffic lights on the Clonshaugh Road when a man jumped into the car and struck her in the face.

According to the Irish Independent, she was allegedly forced into the back of the vehicle and later found in a "hysterical state" when the car crashed close to the R132 Road between Blakes Cross and Swords at 5am.

The woman has since been taken to hospital but no further updates have yet been released.
