Aer Lingus Is Adding Extra Flights To This Irish Staycation Destination

Kerry is probably one of the best counties to visit for a weekend getaway for two or on a trip with friends.

It has a wide range of unique Airbnbs as well as a dog-friendly hotel to stay in, the food options are pretty daycent and did we mention the spectacular views?

So we were delighted to hear that Aer Lingus is increasing its Dublin to Kerry service by 30% this winter.

The airline has announced 9,500 extra seats on the government subsidised route as part of a broader intiative to grow its regional services to over 735,000 seats across 20 routes later this year.

According to Independent.ie, Stobart Air (which runs Aer Lingus Regional via a franchise agreement) renewed its contract under a Public Service Agreement (PSO) to run services from Dublin to Kerry and Donegal until 2022.

The Dublin to Kerry route will be serviced from a larger 72 seat aircraft from now on.

Aer Lingus' winter schedule will start from the 28th of October.

P.S. Dublin to Kerry flights start from €41 which is about the same as the train.
