Al Porter will not be starring in this year’s Olympia Theatre Pantomime it has been reported.
A statement was released this morning from Pat Egan Management and Spotlight Productions saying that the comedian will be “standing aside”.
They said, “Due to recent developments, Al Porter is standing aside from his role in this year’s Pantomime Polly and the Beanstalk at the Olympia Theatre.
“A replacement star will be announced shortly.”
Al Porter was meant to be the main star of the panto that would run from December 15th until January 14th in the renowned Dublin venue.
The star has also resigned from his show on Today FM following allegations surrounding his misconduct and Muireann O’Connell is filling his slot for this week until they find a permanent replacement.
