We thought that the scenes on Friday at the Regency Hotel were bad but tonight comes news that another man has been shot dead in Dublin 3.
The victim was Eddie Hutch Snr, a brother of Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch, and several sources are reporting that tonight’s hit was a retaliation for the attack earlier this week.
The whole of Dublin 3 is crawling with Guards and on lockdown as we speak.

David Byrne (34) was killed and two others injured when gunmen stormed the hotel on the Swords Road last Friday in an apparent gangland attack.
The current spate of violence is believed to have been sparked by the killing of Gary Hutch in Spain last September.
Minister for Justice Frances Fitzgerald tonight released a statement in response to the murder, vowing to take “all necessary steps” to stop the crime war.
“Tonight’s fatal shooting in Dublin is another deplorable example of the ruthlessness of gangland criminals. It seems that some gangs are intent on waging a war where human life counts for nothing,” she said.
“The gardaí will take all necessary steps to try to prevent further bloodshed but we have to recognise the challenges they face. Members of gangs who have fears for their safety should come forward to the gardaí. I will be meeting with the Garda Commissioner and her senior officials tomorrow.”
