An uninsured driver has been caught speeding at 216 km/h on the N7 today.
The speed limit for the road where the driver was detected speeding was 100km/h, according to Gardaí.
The guards has this to say about the situation on their Twitter:

The motorist was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving. The Audi car he was driving was seized.
This comes just two weeks after Gardaí make efforts for a national slow down initiative entitled “slow down day”.
