As venues all over the world tighten up their security measures, the Aviva Stadium in Dublin has also implemented new security procedures, including a strict NO Bag policy.
They released a statement on the FAI website ahead of yesterday’s friendly match that saw Ireland win against Uruguay.
The Aviva officials said:
Aviva Stadium Management are introducing a “No Bag Policy” to all events in the stadium
– It is important that supporters do not bring any bags or rucksacks to the game
– Searching procedures will be in place at all entry points and because of this it is advisable all supporters arrive a little earlier than normal
– Extra Safety & Security measures will be in place at this fixture
The 3Arena has previously stated no rucksacks or large bags would be allowed at events, however people are advised to take note that the Aviva will not be allowing any bags at all.
People are also advised to arrive at least “one hour ahead of kick-off to get through security.”
