While tickets sold out for U2's Joshua Tree gig at Croke Park in just minutes, some diehard fans made sure that they were front of the line by queuing overnight.

And it seems that Bono wanted to make sure they didn't go hungry, as he reportedly arranged for pizza to delivered to some of those waiting in the city last night.

"It wasn't expected at all so it was a big surprise. They came and said 'there's a gift from Bono'. It was like 10 pizzas. It was very kind that he cared about us, the fans," said superfan Rosie.

He might get a lot of slack but that's pretty sound in fairness.

Unfortunately, tickets for the highly-anticipated gig sold out in less than ten minutes this morning so there's still bound to be a few inconsolable fans out there.
