A southbound DART has been derailed this evening in Dun Laoghaire, with passengers stuck on the train for an estimated 30 minutes before doors were opened.
The train is believed to have gone off the tracks at about 6pm, after a signal fault, and Irish Rail have confirmed that a low-speed derailment has led to no services between Lansdowne Rd and Dun Laoghaire.

Images taken by passengers on the derailed DART show that people were forced to get off the train once it was safe for them to do so.
Dublin Bus are accepting all rail tickets in order to provide alternative transport for commuters.
