BREAKING: Man Fighting For His Life After A Shooting On The Northside

A man is reportedly in a critical condition after a shooting on the northside this afternoon.

The Independent.ie report that it happened at a petrol station on the N32 near Ballymun at around 1:35 pm.

The man's condition is not yet known but it's understood he was shot at a number of times. The victim is originally from Dublin's north inner city and is thought to be a close associate of the Hutch family.

The shooting happened at approximately at the petrol station near the Clayton Hotel.

Gardaí are investigating and emergency services are currently at the scene.
