Two cars ended up in the Liffey last night, necessitating a late-night rescue from emergency services.

Thankfully nobody was seriously injured as a result of the incident, which saw services from Dublin, Kildare and Meath called into action.

The incident occurred in Celbridge, and the Tallaght Ambulance Service tweeted about it at 5.23am, saying:

Heroic work from our emergency services, as usual.
