Darragh Murphy

Dublin Fire Brigade do a hell of a lot more than put out blazes around the city and county.

On Wednesday evening, firefighters received an emergency call regarding a dog that had become trapped in a rabbit hole.

The B Watch crew from Donnybrook rushed to the scene and managed to pull the adorable Coco to safety.

There were no reports of injuries to the dog and he has since been transported to an animal rescue organisation for further assistance and care.

Dublin Fire Brigade tweeted: “‘Coco’ the dog found himself in a woof situation earlier this evening after he got stuck down a rabbit hole. B Watch from Donnybrook to the rescue to free him unharmed.

“We work closely with animal rescue organisations to rescue our furry friends. They will ring us if the need us.”

Another successful operation from Dublin Fire Brigade completed!
