Dean Strang Appeared On 'The Ray D'Arcy Show' Last Night – And The Nation Cringed

"I'd say Dean Strang was wishing he was the one serving a life sentence in prison during that D'Arcy interview"

Having appeared on one of the most popular documentaries of all time, Netflix's Making A Murderer, lawyer Dean Strang has captured the heart of millions.

Strang Crush

Case in point.

Viewers fell in love with the uber-moral lawyer like he was a real-life Atticus Finch. So Irish people were pretty excited to discover that Steven Avery's defender was coming to Ireland and would be appearing on The Ray D'Arcy Show.

Until he did the actual interview, of course.

Audiences felt cheated by the interview, feeling little more than a rehash of the Netflix series was offered, while others thought it was downright embarrassing.

Here are a few of the responses from viewers last night.

D'Arcy even asked the esteemed lawyer how he felt about now being a sex symbol.

Not exactly a rave review, but you can judge the interview for yourself by watching it on RTÉ Player here.
