DEBATE: How Do YOU Pronounce Ranelagh?

So, something has come to our attention and we're not really sure how to deal with it. It's tearing families apart, brothers fighting brothers, and we think we've got the guts of a civil war on our hands. 

Apparently, the quaint South Dublin village of 'Ranelagh' is pronounced 'REN-la', and we're suddenly losing our minds. 

REN-LA? Surely it's 'Ran-ah-lah', no?!

This came to our attention when Nick's Coffee Company put up a sign outside their humble Ranelagh-based establishment, stating that the correct pronunciation of the Luas stop is REN-LA.
