A Delta Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Dublin Airport in the early hours of this morning after reports of a medical emergency onboard.
The plane, Delta flight DL234, was flying from New York to Tel Aviv when they were forced to make the emergency landing at Dublin Airport.
The plane was four hours into its journey when the crew issued a Squawk 7700 transmission signalling that there was an emergency onboard.
They requested a diversion to Dublin due to a medical emergency onboard.
As the plane was still relatively early into its journey, it was carrying a significant amount of fuel, meaning that plane had to do a ‘heavyweight landing’ as it was heavier than a usual landing weight.
Paramedics on the ground rushed the patient to hospital.
The flight eventually resumed, taking off at 5.03am from Dublin Airport.
