Famous Irish Celebrity Releases Statement Following Drug Bust Involving Son

An arrest which took place following the raid of a home in Cork has turned out to be the son of a famous Irish celebrity.

Television chef, Rachel Allen, released a statement to The Irish Mirror following the arrest of her son Joshua.

She told Niall O’Connor that her son has been arrested on suspicion of being in possession of illegal drugs with intent to supply.

“He has admitted his guilt immediately and co-operated fully with the Gardaí.

“We are absolutely devastated at this turn of events.

“We do not in any way condone his actions, in fact, we utterly condemn them, but it is not for us to condemn him,” she told O’Connor.

Allen is a regular on the National Broadcaster and has done many television shows including: Rachel’s Favourite Food and Rachel Allen: Bake!

She has featured for many publications including The Sunday Tribune and BBC’s Good Food magazine.

Allen lives in Cork with her husband Issac along with Joshua and two other children, Scarlett and Lucca.
