Dublin Airport Reveal The Weirdest Items Left Behind By Passengers

Sarah

People leave behind the weirdest things when they go travelling, they really do.

From false teeth, glass eyes, and wheelchairs to some seriously bizzare items (we’ll get to that in a moment), passengers at Dublin Airport have made our day today with the gas things they’ve packed – and then forgotten.

98FM reports that Dublin Airport Authority has revealed a list of random items left by travelers, including a 15kg boulder from an Irish beach, a toilet seat, and eh, a sink.

A few years ago a headstone with the engraving “You will always be remembered, never forgotten” was discovered at departures at Terminal One, never to be reunited with its owner.

DAA spokeswoman Audrey O’Hagan also said that people try to get their pets past the security, with turtles, puppies and goldfish all stopped by airport staff.

“Just two weeks ago, somebody tried to bring a goldfish … so they had a goldfish in a 2 litre bottle of water and there, they had a little goldfish that they wanted to take away with them”, Audrey said.

“They couldn’t, so believe it or not, that fish has since been re-homed by a staff member here and it’s in their fish pond in Malahide”.

If you’ve lost an item at Dublin Airport, you have a year and a day to claim it, and can check the airport’s website or email [email protected] for more assistance.

Just please, don’t leave your little puppy behind.
