In the age of smartphones and social media, it's easy to forget how important and sentimental actual printed photos can be.

Granted, they're not as prominent as they once were but one such item was found by Dublin Bus passenger Ashen Hoonter yesterday.

It features two smiling women in an old-looking black and white photo.

Ashen found the photo on the 37 route from Blanchardstown into the city centre at around 6.30pm on Wednesday. When we spoke to her today she was on the way to hand the photo into the Dublin Bus head office on O'Connell Street.

She told us:

'I was a little heartbroken to be honest, a lot of people have similar photographs and it's awful to lose something with sentiment behind it like this."

If you can help, get in touch with us here or contact Dublin Bus head office on 01 873 4222 or on Twitter @dublinbusnews.
