Dublin Commuters Can Now Use Their Leap Cards For Dublin Bikes Scheme

James Fenton

Good news for commuters as it has been announced that from today the Dublin Bike scheme will be available to those who use a leap card.

The initiative won’t allow people to pay for their bike trips from their LEAP Card account but rather it will allow them to hold their registration details for both schemes on the one card.

So if you are an existing member of Dublin Bikes, all you need to do is login to your account and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your LEAP Card with your bike account.

New members can register their details with Dublin Bikes where they can validate their leap card for use at any one of the 101 stations across the city.

So basically what it means is, if you’re a user of both a leap card and a Dublin Bikes card, you can ditch the latter from today, which should make life easier when rummaging through your wallet.
