Dublin Could See Its First Dusting Of White Weather Later This Week

AmyBell

We’re all waiting on the icy weather to hit, and it looks as if temperatures are set to plummet later this week.

While parts of the UK are expected to see some snowfall this week – strong winds and sleet are forecast to hit Dublin come mid-week.

Temperatures are set to be quite mild up until Wednesday when they will drop to as low as -2 degrees in the capital.

A forecaster spoke to DublinLive and reported that sleet could fall and roads are expected to be quite icy with “wintry showers” on high grounds.

They reported, “The colder air with north or northwest winds will move down to all areas later Wednesday and Wednesday night.

“Moderate cyclonic variable winds. Cold and windy on Wednesday night with some rain or sleet for a time.”

The remainder of the week is set to be quite breezy and cold with some wintry showers expected, and although we’re not forecast to get a full batch of snow, the sight of sleet is bound to get you in the festive mood.

We’ll be on snow watch!
