Dublin Fire Brigade are warning the masses of the dangers of Christmas lights on their Twitter page.
They are hoping to highlight the danger of using faulty lights, over wiring and having lights outside.

They also mentioned that this particular set of lights should be avoided at all costs – and that you should only use Christmas lights with a CE mark.
