Dublin Fire Brigade warned us all about a certain brand of Christmas lights during the week, like the sound people that they are.
They posted the following to their Twitter:
A safety warning has been issued by @EU_Consumer over these unbranded Christmas lights. They have over-heated and caught fire. pic.twitter.com/neB54P7GJi

The EU Consumer Affairs issued a warning over unbranded lights that are at risk of overheating and taking fire, as seen above.
And yesterday DFB followed up with this humorous, but clear warning.

Think twice about leaving the tree's lights on when heading to the pub or even when you're nodding off to sleep.
