A man was rescued from the Grand Canal in the early hours of this morning after becoming trapped in a section of the canal.
Crews from Dublin Fire Brigade assisted in the rescue and the man was successfully lifted from the water.
He was taken to hospital where he was treated for hypothermia.

It is not yet known how the man became trapped.
