Dublin Fire Brigade has saved the day yet again with this dramatic rescue of a trapped pooch.
Phibsboro's D Watch plucked the dog from Irish Rail tracks near Whitworth Road in Drumcondra by using a crane to lower one of their fire fighters down.
Pics of the rescue were posted on the Dublin Fire Brigade Twitter account.

Thankfully there was no danger of the pup being hit by a train as Irish Rail staff are on strike today, but he was still unable to escape the tracks.
The DSCPA and the pet owner have thanked DFB for their help.
