A 22-year-old man from Tallaght who drowned on Monday was on holidays with his friends when the incident occured.
He was on holidays with pals in Zante, Greece when he drowned in a swimming pool according to The Irish Times.
He has been named as Timmy Ajiboye.
Timmy did not have travel insurance so a friend set up a GoFundMe page which has already exceeded its target of €15k in just two days.
Titled, 'Bring Timmy Home', the page says that:
"Our beloved brother Timmy Ajiboye passed away 28/05/2018 while on holiday with a couple of friends.
"This go fund me is to help raise money to support his family with funeral arrangements and to bring his body home so he can get the proper send off he deserves.
"Any amount contributed will be much appreciated.
"God bless you all."
‘Zest for life’
His brother, Tommy, took to Twitter saying that Timmy always brought out the best of him.

Another friend of Timmy's, Abby Sanusi took to Facebook asking people to donate to the GoFundMe page on Tuesday.
"Very sad news to hear of Timmy Ajiboye who passed away while on holiday with his friends.
"This is a fund raiser to help bring his body home, so he can be given a proper goodbye. Every little helps and please share so together we #BringTimmyHome," he said in a Facebook post.
