There was no bank holiday break for Dublin Fire Brigade this weekend.
The team had their work cut out for them after multiple large gorse fires broke out in the Dublin mountains, scarily close to residential properties.
The fire brigade were dispatched to deal with the blazes in Glencullen and Barnacuilla yesterday evening at around 7pm.

A number of units from Tallaght, Rathfarnham and Dun Laoghaire were sent to the scene, while a drone directed operations from above.

The fires were dealt with and by midnight roads in the area were reopened. Dublin Fire Brigade released a warning in order to prevent further outbreaks.
A tweet reads:

Take your litter home. Don’t give arsonists the opportunity

The Department of Agricutlure have issued an Orange warning until Thursday which says there is a “a high fire risk is forecast in all areas where hazardous fuels exist” due to the warm weather.
