Dublin Priest Stands Aside From Duties Following "Historical Allegations"

RTÉ is reporting that a priest from a South Dublin parish has decided to stand aside from his duties while historical allegations against him are investigated.

A spokesman for Archbishop Diarmuid Martin told mass goers on Sunday morning in Foxrock that accusations against Father Frank Herren is from several decades ago.

The spokesperson also confirmed that the accusation had absolutely no connection with Herren's work in Foxrock.

He went on to say that the fact the priest has stood aside from his duties does not confirm that there is any truth to the allegations.
