This is how to defend your business when it's under attack.

When your business is everything, you'll stop at nothing to try and defend it. Whether it's a complaint from a customer or to something as serious as robbery, you will fight tooth and nail to make sure you've got its back.

And that's what happened at this popular Dublin store when raiders entered the premises on Sunday evening.

Staff at Spar on Dublin's O'Connell Street were left shaken after robbers came in at around 8pm and tried to raid the place.

The Irish Independent reports that two men, one of which was armed with a knife, ran into the busy store and threatened staff.

They demanded that the cash register be opened and that the contents were handed over to them.

However, as one of the men tried to run behind the counter, a member of staff picked up a bin, yes a bin, and chased the thief out the door with it.

One of the robbers sustained an injury and was left bleeding.

Gardaí are currently investigating and are appealing to the public to come forward with any information.

None of the staff or customers present at the time of the attack were badly injured.
