Easily Help The Dublin Homeless On Your Commute To Work This Week – Here’s How

Sarah

The Christmas ads are on the TV, the Christmas lights are turned on in Dublin’s Fair City, the Christmas gifts are being dreamed about …. But the best gift you could give this Christmas is to the Homeless and Luas are making it easy for you to do so.”

You can easily help the homeless people of Dublin this week by taking part in the annual #fillaluas campaign and donating a shoebox of gifts – filling an ENTIRE Luas of much-needed items.

Transdev, Luas operator and volunteer homeless organisation Inner City Helping Homeless, have teamed up again this year to ask the public to donate a shoebox on: Thursday December 14 at Connolly Luas Stop, from 7am to 7pm.

Last year over 20,000 shoeboxes were donated

Ideas for a Shoebox are:

  • Socks, Underwear, hats, scarves, gloves, wrapped sweets, chocolates and toiletries.
  • No perishable food, no aerosols, perfumes, aftershave, mouth wash or hand sanitiser. ( thanks )

Last year the shoeboxes were distributed by ICHH to the Homeless directly and to the many charities and agencies working with the Homeless in Dublin, Cork and around the country.
