Electric Ireland Actually Sent This Letter To A Graveyard

So this actually happened.

One postman was left extremely perplexed after being given the task to deliver a letter to a graveyard to inform the ‘occupant’ that they had better register with Electric Ireland if they were going to stay connected. Yeah.

Dan Devan told Broadsheet.ie what he’d come across last Saturday,

Met a distressed postman in the pouring rain, struggling to deliver this letter! This is genuine, and so is the threat to disconnect their power… couldn’t believe it when I saw it.

When it comes to billing in Ireland, it seems like we’re just extremely prone to cock ups.
