"Get out of me way ye dozy bollix." Yep, the Curley family is finally coming to Dublin as a stage adaptation of Roddy Doyle's beloved movie and we are buzzin'.

The Snapper is one of Ireland's all-time faves (you've only to look at Twitter anytime it's on the telly for proof) and The Gate theatre has just announced that they will be showng the world premiere of it in September.

"The Snapper offers a wickedly funny account of the ups and downs of family life and pregnancy in Northside Dublin of the late 1980s.

"It is salty and sweet and the Gate Theatre sits right next door to the Rotunda Hospital where Sharon’s baby ‘the snapper’ is born"

The Snapper at the Gate Theatre will show from June 14th-Septemer 1st and tickets are available from just €27.

Excited? We're already gearing up to scream "seven lbs 12 ozs!!"
