You've probably heard reports that €12 million is being diverted from the mental health budget to be used elsewhere in the health service.
Unfortunately, still in 2016, a very obvious mental health stigma still exists in Ireland, and budget cuts will just cause this situation to deteriorate further.
The Union of Students in Ireland and Mental Health Reform will be outside Dáil Éireann (Kildare Street Entrance) today April 28 at 12:30pm, showcasing the dire need for the next government to prioritise mental health.
The lack of attendance at the House of Oireachtas last Tuesday has spurred the people of Ireland to take action, on what is a most pressing issue.
There will also be demonstrations in Cork and Galway in solidarity with the The Mental Health Reform today at the same time.
If, like many others, you unfortunately can't make it to any the demonstrations this lunch time, then you can still get involved with the hashtag #IAmAReason on Twitter and Facebook.
This is a movement of thousands of small actions, so anything you can do will indeed make the difference.
