A Dublin-based Garda has been arrested and suspended on suspicion of drug offences.
According to Independent.ie, the garda in question was arrested after he was found with a small amount of cocaine in a planned investigation by the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation on Sunday night.
He was arrested under Section 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act and questioned in Terenure Garda Station.

He was released without charge and a file is now being prepared for the DPP.
The garda, in his thirties, is not originally from Dublin.
He is suspended from carrying out any duties while investigations are ongoing.
