Gardaí in Dublin 8 are investigating the sudden death of taxi driver who was on-duty on Kevin Street early on Sunday morning, The Journal reports.
The man became unwell after an “incident” with a fare around 4.30am and was treated at the scene before being brought to St. James’ Hospital by ambulance. He was pronounced dead shortly after.
Gardaí have confirmed that they are investigating but are treating his death as a sudden death and have asked anyone with information to contact Kevin Street Garda Station on 01 666 9400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
The man’s body has been taken to Dublin City Mortuary where a post-mortem is expected to take place.
