Good News For Dublin – New Jobs Coming To The City

Great news for the worker bees of Dublin, as Bank of America has announced it is relocating to Dublin to have its base for its EU operations in the wake of Brexit.

RTE reports that Bank of America's CEO Brian Moynihan told the Financial Times that the new operation in Dublin will have more than the 700 employees it currently has, and that it will be moving its investment banking and market operations to the city.

The company currently has two Dublin offices, and Mr Moynihan said: "Dublin is the home to more of our employees than any other European city outside the UK."

"We already have a fully licenced and operational Irish domiciled bank which combined with Ireland's strong commitment to business and economic growth makes Dublin the natural location to consolidate our legal entities as we transition."

Other US banking giants are also eyeing up Dublin, including Citi Bank.
