Jervis Street’s Biggest Clothing Store Is Closing Down After Eight Years

It's sad news for slogan sweatshirt lovers as US store Forever 21 will be closing in the Jervis Centre on Henry Street, its only Irish outlet.

The Irish Times reports that accounts published by Forever 21 show that it had losses of up to €15 million in 2016 and overall losses of €40 million since it opened in 2010.

The store came to Dublin eight years ago to the Jervis Centre, taking over a 6,503sq m outlet in the shopping centre of three floors for a rent of €2.75 million a year.

Forever 21 is currently undergoing global changes as stores in Canada, the UK and the Netherlands have all been closed down due to poor financial performance.
