John Lewis Speaks Out On Controversy Over ‘Buster The Boxer’ Christmas Ad

John Lewis finally unveiled its Christmas ad this morning but it didn’t get quite the reaction that the retailer hoped.

While the majority fell in love with the tale of Bridget and Buster, some angry parents were angered by the video and claimed that it ruined the magic of Christmas.

As Bridget’s parents can be seen building a trampoline in time for Christmas Day, they argued that it undermined the existence of Santa Claus and caused a few awkward conversations.

John Lewis has now spoken out on the controversy, saying that this was entirely unintentional.

“We’re sure Father Christmas has also visited Bridget and Buster the night before, this is just an extra special gift from her parents because she loves to bounce.”
