Six Leinster fans will not be making the trip to Bilbao today after a flight was overbooked, the Irish Independent reports.Â
Thousands of supporters are traveling to the Spanish city to watch Leinster in the Champions Cup Final against Racing 92 later this evening but the overcrowding issue led to €250 being offered to anyone who wished to volunteer to give up their seat and be placed on a later flight at 8.15pm.Â
However, the game kicks off at 4.45pm meaning that those who chose to do so would miss out on Leinster’s attempt to clinch a fourth Champions Cup trophy. After nobody took up the offer, it was raised to €400 which two people accepted. Four others were picked at random and left behind.Â
