Lidl Has Created 65 New Jobs In Dublin With The Opening Of Two Brand New Stores

German supermarket Lidl has just created 65 new jobs in the capital with the opening of two brand new stores.

Today sees the opening of a brand new Lidl store at Hanlon’s Corner in Cabra, with another store in Portmarnock opening doors to the public on August 3.

John Paul Scally, Managing Director at Lidl Ireland spoke about his excitement for the launches: 

“Our two new openings in Cabra and Portmarnock will bring our total number of stores in the Republic of Ireland to 152 and our number in Dublin to 39.”

“Our continued growth in the Irish market, as seen in the most recent Kantar figures, reinforces our commitment to offer customers exceptional value with top quality products at market-leading prices.”

“With daily freshly baked goods and a wide variety of fresh food alongside our weekly special offers, there really is something for everyone. We look forward to welcoming our new customers in store and also welcome are new employees into the Lidl team.”

But that’s not all…

The Lidl store on the Donore Road in Drogheda has just today reopened following an extensive rebuild. 15 brand new roles have been created in this new venture.

And finally, Lidl has also just gotten the go ahead from An Bord Pleanála for a brand new store in Castleknock which is set to open in 2018.
