An investigation has been launched after a woman alleged she was raped in Blanchardstown.
The incident happened in Corduff park in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
A man is due to appear in court at a sitting of Blanchardstown District Court at 10.30am on 22nd June 2018.
It is believed he has been questioned by gardaí.
According to Independent.ie, the victim, an American tourist in her 20s, met the alleged attacker in a local pub before the attack.
They returned to a house in Blanchardstown before leaving for a walk in Corduff park a short time later.
The woman told detectives this is where the male raped her.
The victim contacted the gardaí and was taken to the Sexual Assault Treatment Unit at the Rotunda.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Corduff Park on the evening of the 20th, to contact Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 6667000 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800666111.
