A man in his 40s who was shot dead in Griffeen Valley Park, Lucan last night is believed to have been identified by Gardaí as a well-known criminal.
The man is understood to be criminal Mark ‘The Guinea Pig’ Desmond who was previously charged with the ‘canal murders’ of two young men in 2000, according to Independent.ie.
Desmond was shot up to four times in last night’s gangland attack.
