We reported over the weekend that Dublin 2's famed nightclub The George was defaced in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The man, who has since been captured on CCTV, was writing homophobic slurs with chalk on the walls of the Dublin queer space. 

According to Dublin Live, a source has said: "He was wearing a costume at the time. It was a one-piece outfit in the form of a raccoon."

A man in his 20s has been arrested in relation to the crime. Investigations are ongoing.
