Footage has been circulating heavily online of two men racing on a Dublin street.

What starts off as a meaningless 'race' between the two men turns into a serious incident as one of the men trips and falls face first onto the footpath.

The video, which is about 22 seconds long, firstly shows a man in a suit telling two ladies to get out of the way and then the camera person adds that "there's a race going on".

The two women move and immediately the two men are 'released' by another friend who is standing at the bottom of the street.

As they get closer to the camera, the man that is in second place trips on the footpath and falls horrifically.

His face whollops off the pavement and it looks like one of his teeth falls out around the 16 second mark.

From where he falls first to where he ends up is a good few feet apart and at the end of the video, the man is not moving and some fear he is unconscious.

Two people behind the camera can be heard saying, "he's out for the count."
