Usually when the Port Tunnel closes down, traffic grinds to a halt, and the people of Dublin are left fuming.
But on this occasion, you feel, things may be slightly different – as the northbound bore has been closed to facilitate the safe removal of a kitten.
AÂ KITTEN!
We could ask how in God’s name a kitten got into the port tunnel – but instead, we’ll just be thankful for the fact that we live in a world where the safety of these little guys is valued more highly than smooth traffic flow.
