Look, let us be the first to say ‘been there, done that.’ Drunken cooking is a dangerous old sport that we partake in waaay too often in the weeks before pay day.Â
No fancy Dominos pizza for us after a night out, oh no. We’ll be tip-toeing around in our heels at 4am over a hot stove and a can of beans.Â
But after seeing Dublin Fire Brigade’s latest warning about cooking under the influence, we don’t think we’ll be playing Chef Ramsay after a few gins anymore.
One lucky Dubliner was left unharmed after leaving a baguette in the oven from 10pm until 8am the next morningÂ
Oh, and they were obvs trying to quickly chill a bottle of wine as one was found completely frozen in the freezer. Yikes.
A lucky escape last night: Burnt baguette and a frozen bottle of wine (it didnt crack the bottle ????). The baguette was left cooking from 10pm until 8am this morning, by self-confessed #drunkcooking, with added tiredness. Don’t cook if under the influence. pic.twitter.com/yvUPtnEL4X

DFB did manage to see the bright side however…
Well we are very concerned about the cooking, but relieved the wine was pre-chilled for tonight.
