A scam email, feigning a connection with Whatsapp, is currently doing the rounds and spreading a dangerous virus.
Users are being warned not to click on an email that appears to be from WhatsApp, witht he subject line ‘missed voicemail’.
According to 98fm, experts in cyber crime are informing the masses not to click any links, buttons or otherwise that say either “New voicemessage” or “Play”.
SET Ireland says “clicking on the link will begin the download of a trojan… that usually redirects the browser to a malicious URL or implements a specific exploit.”
