The issue of cyclist safety is one which is gaining more and more attention in Dublin recently.
Those who use the bike lanes around the city feel that their welfare is being put at risk by examples such as the picture below.

Today, in an act of defiance, a campaign called ‘I Bike Dublin’ formed a human chain to in Ranelagh in a bid to highlight the issue.
