As the college year grows ever-closer, students and workers alike are growing more and more desperate to find a house in the city that won’t cost them an arm and a leg.
And as house hunting intensity grows stronger, gaffs on the market grow ever more bizarre…
A (relatively nice, in fairness) portacabin in Harold’s Cross has gone up on Daft as of late – with a hefty price tag €1,200 a month.
Located on Kimmage Road Lower, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6W, this ‘house’ has been quite aptly named ‘The Pod’ by owners.
The ad on Daft.ie reads:
”Tucked away in a beautiful garden is this room-ensuite (5.5m x 3m). We call it the ‘Pod’!
Calm environment with separate access and secure parking. All bills included. Cleaned and linen changed weekly. Everything you need if you are a serious and quiet student, or individual needing a Dublin base.
Suitable for one person only.
Very smart..”
While we do agree that it’s ‘very smart’, we do think that €1,200 is a lot for one person to pay to live alone in a portacabin. But that’s just us.
What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments.
