An Air France plane operating on the behalf of CityJet was forced to return to Dublin Airport shortly after take off this morning due to a cracked windshield.

The scary incident happened after 9.55AM, and was en route from Dublin to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, France at the time.

While heading south over the Irish Sea from Dublin the crew informed air traffic controllers that they wished to halt their climb to investigate a possible issue. A while later the crew called back to advise controllers they had a problem that required them to return to Dublin ASAP.

A replacement CityJet plane took the passengers onto Paris later at 12.50PM.

Scary.
