Irish Pedestrian Network, the Dublin Cycling Campaign and the Dublin Commuter Coalition have joined forces today to block South William Street off to traffic this afternoon.
The groups plan to stay there until 7pm as they call for the pedestrianisation of the city centre to speed up.

Green Party councillor Neasa Hourigan tweeted a photo of herself at the protest along with the caption 'We have occupied South William Street and declared a Clean Air Zone until 7pm. A viable pedestrian plan has been stalled for almost a decade on this street. #StreetsAreForPeople.'
